Texas Hold’em rules
The object of Hold’em is to create the best five-card hand using seven cards. A list of poker hand rankings can be found on the IPNPoker site. IPNPoker also has an interactive poker tutorial which is great for learning the poker games.
Once the game starts a dealer is assigned. At the end of each hand the dealer changes to the next player to the current dealers left. Knowing who is the dealer is important, as it indicates who posts the compulsory bets (known as blinds) before each hand, it also indicates who is first to act in each betting round.
In Texas Hold’em there are two compulsory bets that are made before the start of each hand. These are known as the small blind and the big blind. These are important as it means that there are chips to be won in every hand. The player to the immediate left of the dealer pays the small blind and the player to the left of the small blind posts the big blind.
In limit games the small blind is equal to half the size of the small bet, and the big blind is equal to the small bet. So at a $1/$2 table the small blind is 0.50c and the big blind is $1.
In limit games the size of the bet that a player can make in the first and second betting rounds is equal to the amount of the small bet of the table (for example in a $3/$6 limit game, the bet players can make in rounds 1 and 2 is $3). In the third and forth betting rounds, players can bet the value of the big bet (for example in a $3/$6 limit game, players can bet $6 in the third and forth rounds).
There is a maximum of one bet and three raises allowed in each betting round. (For example, in the first betting round of a $1/$2 limit table, a player will pay a maximum of $4 – a bet of $1 and three raises of $1). The exception to this rule is if there are only two players left in the pot, in which case there is no limit to the number of raises that can be made.
Hole cards and the first betting round
Once the blinds have been posted, two cards are dealt face down to each player at the table (known as “hole cards”). At this point the first betting round begins, players must make a decision on how to act based on the strength of their hole cards only.
The player to the left of the large blind is always the first to act in the first betting round. This player has the option of folding, calling, or raising the amount of the large blind. The play continues clockwise around the table until all players who started in the hand have called, checked or folded, and the amount put in the pot by each player still in the hand is equal.
The Flop and the second betting round
After the first betting round has finished, the dealer places 3 cards face up in the middle of the table – this is known as the flop. These 3 cards are shared by all the players towards make their final hands. Players now have 5 cards out of the 7 available and have a good idea how their hand is developing. At this point the second betting round begins.
In this and all subsequent betting rounds, the action starts with the first player still in the hand to the left of the dealer. This player can either check or bet (he can not raise as no bet has been made in the round, and he shouldn’t fold because it costs him nothing at that point to stay in the hand). As in the previous betting round, the play continues clockwise around the table until all players have called, checked or folded and the amount placed in the pot by each player still in the hand is equal.
The Turn and the third betting round
After the second betting round, the dealer places a fourth card face up on the table – this is called the turn card. Like the flop, this is a community card that may be used by all the players to make up part of their hand.
The players should now know the majority of their hand, as there is only one more card to come. The betting round here is the same as the third betting round, with the player to the left of the dealer acting first.
In limit games the size of the bet that a player can make in the third betting round and final betting round is equal the size of the big bet (for example in a $3/$6 limit game, the bet players can make in this round is $6).
The River and the final betting round
After the third betting round, the dealer places a final card face up on the table – this is called the river card. There is a final betting round, which is the same as the third betting round.
After this, each player makes the best possible 5 card poker hand out of the 7 available cards. Cara Main Poker Online Each player can use any combination of the 2 cards in their hands and the five cards on the table. The player with the highest ranked hand wins the pot. If two or more players have the same value hand, then the pot is split between them.
And the poker game goes on…
Once the hand has finished, and the pot has been awarded, the dealer button moves to the next player on his left. The cards are shuffled, the blinds are posted by the next two players, and the cards are dealt. The game continues as long as there are at least two players at the table.
Two important defensive driving techniques are very simple, very obvious, and very often overlooked by drivers. In fact, most drivers would consider them to be automatic, not really techniques as such and hardly worth mentioning. However, statistics tell a different story. These two major ingredients feature in a large proportion of accidents:
1. Inattention whilst driving
2. Trusting the other driver to do the right thing
Defensive Driving Technique #1: Pay Attention When Driving
Research shows that many accidents involve inattention from one or both drivers, and can be caused by a variety of factors. Daydreaming, sleepiness, distractions, chatting and highway hypnosis are common types of driver inattention.
Moving motor vehicles are dangerous projectiles hurtling forward with massive force, and the responsibility of a driver is to avoid using that force to injure or kill others. This is pretty difficult to achieve if drivers are not paying attention and completely focused on their driving.
A common inattention scenario is when collisions occur close to home. Research shows this often happens, and it is not hard to understand why. The closer we get to home, the more comfortable we feel and the easier it is to let our attention wander. When other drivers residing in the same area do the same thing, this effectively doubles the chance of an accident caused by inattention. It is also easy to forget that serious or fatal injuries can occur in low speed collisions.
Getting Rid Of Inattention
How do you practice the defensive driving technique of paying attention? Have you ever driven somewhere and been so lost in thought that you were unable to recall the trip itself? One of the best ways to practice is trying to concentrate solely on the driving task. Put all other thoughts out of your mind, thinking of nothing else but your driving. Carefully observe how long it is before your mind starts to wander. You may be shocked at how quickly you start thinking of something else!
Combine your mind with your eyes, working at consciously analyzing your view while you drive. This defensive driving technique is called “situational awareness.”
Remember this. Experienced drivers don’t need to think about driving much. It is something that comes automatically, therefore leaving their minds free to wander and wander they will!
Paying attention is like any other habit. You need to constantly reinforce the habit until it becomes automatic. Make regular choices NOT to adjust the CD player while driving, speak on the cell phone or whatever else it is that takes your attention away from driving.
Defensive Driving Technique #2: Trust Nobody But Yourself
A key to acquiring a good defensive driving technique is to never, ever rely on what the other driver will do. Recall for a moment the driving mistakes you’ve been guilty of over the years. Look ahead and imagine the ones you will probably make in the future. Guess what? All the other drivers are just the same! Dont trust anyone but yourself!
1.Be super wary of other drivers. Keep an eagle on them and leave yourself plenty of room to move. Try to anticipate and prepare for mistakes other drivers might make. When you are not paying attention to other drivers, you are effectively giving them control of your vehicle. You are at their mercy. This is without a doubt one of the most important defensive driving techniques you can embrace.
2.Is that driver worthy of your trust? Maybe some of those other drivers are returning from a boozy night out. Perhaps they just lost a job or suffered the tragic loss of a loved one. The other driver might be a 9-year-old out for a joy ride. Regard every other driver as an unpredictable menace out to get you. Most collisions occur when the “other guy” does something unexpected.
3.Anticipate other driver errors. Be wary when approaching red lights. A red light by itself never stopped anyone. Watch out for drivers Situs Poker Online Terpercaya preparing to pull out from beside the road. Other potential dangers include failure to signal a lane change, or tailgating someone when they are dawdling along looking to make a turna turn they suddenly WILL make at the last second. Be alert to all possibilities and be ready to deal with them.
Driving is the most dangerous thing that most of us ever do, and because of this, driving deserves your full attention. By mastering the defensive driving techniques of paying attention and trusting nobody but yourself and making them an unconscious habit, drivers can achieve 99% protection. Paying attention and being wary of other drivers makes it possible for you to be instantly aware of the hazards lurking on the road, almost before they are there.
Make no mistake about it. Of all the defensive driving techniques you could embrace, paying attention and being super aware of other drivers are the ones which will serve you best.
People also believe that the faster you play the more money you will win. Speed has nothing to do with it. If you play more and more it will not bring the winning hand any closer to you. The odds are no different than if you just simply played the game at a normal pace and played peacefully.
Some people joke that they can predict what card is going to come up. If you believe that then there is a Bridge you can buy. No one can predict the cards, unless you are an experience mathematician there isn't anyone who can predict the way a computer will dispense a number.
Some players believe that if they play more bets that the payout will be much better. Not true, no matter how much money you put in will not change the way the cards tend to come out. The cards are programmed to come out randomly because each machine is progressive more difficult than the Jacks are Better machines. In the game Deuces are wild, the deuces become the wild symbol fro any other card, sometimes in a regular poker game you will hear jokers are wild but in this case the deuces are wild. They can be used as another card except for another one.
Luck happens when you get an automatic hand that you can win with easily. Strategy works because you are allowed to discard a card. This changes the hand as well as the odds. You may be lucky enough to have a Three of a Kind and you want to increase your payout or maybe you are trying to get that winning hand, remember you can keep as many cards as you want and get rid of as many as you want.
The last common myth that people actually believe is that the machine next to yours can affect your game. There is no way at all that a machine can affect the way your machine is playing. These machines are not networked, they are individually run.
If you have heard of any of these myths and have believed in any of them. We hope we have set you straight. Maybe with these myths exposed you can save some money because you may have believed the myth about playing more will make you win. So we hope we have saved you money. Always play a machine even if there is a payout. The machine doesn't play depending on what is in the machine; the machine is played by the computer and what cards are dealt. If there is not enough money in the machine, the attendant will simply refill it, payouts have nothing to do with that.

The one and only way to make sure that your plays are right is when you tally if the poker math adds up.
Now to begin with, most amateurs get intimidated thinking about the complicated calculations. However, the reality is, just like any other skill the more time you spend with it, the better you get. And remember the cardinal rule, always make notes.
Probability: Online poker is a game of probabilities. Every deck has an exact number of cards which means there are only certain possibilities and combinations that can occur. For example, out of the 52 cards in a deck, there are 4 suits. So, the probability of getting any spade as the first card you've been dealt is 1 in 4, that's 25%. When it comes to starting hands, the probability of winning is high for an AA, AK or AQ starting hand, but if your starting hands are AJ, A10, A9 or A2 you should consider folding. So, it's quite useful to at least memorise a few probabilities while starting out.
Counting Outs: The number of 'unseen cards' that could come on either the turn or river which could yours a winning hand is called counting 'outs'. That's why it's pivotal to learn how to count outs as soon as you start your online poker journey. Then you can move into a little more complicated calculation of dividing the number of desired outcomes, by the number of possible outcomes to give you a better clarity on your next move.
Calculating Odds: We have heard the term 'odds' many a times while playing poker online. At the very basic level it is the total money in the pot compared to the money you must pay to stay in the hand. Let's take an example of a flop heads-up. There's Rs. 200 in the pot and your opponent bets Rs. 100.
Since your opponent's bet is now part of the pot, you're being offered Rs. 300 for a cost of Rs. 100. In ratio form, that's 3:1. And when we equate the likelihood of us hitting one of our Outs against and Pot Odds we can make a mathematically strong bet.
Ok! Enough of math tables, now it's time you hit the poker table. Now that you know the basics, it's time to apply. So, play poker online free at Mad Over Poker and once you get better, play real money poker with the best poker games Mad Over Poker.
